Your Opinion Of God

Your opinion of God will determine your eternal destiny. If you believe the things that are true of Him you will spend eternity in Paradise with Him. If you believe things about Him that are untrue you will end up in the Lake of Fire. If you believe the truth about Him it will bring you to faith in Him.

John 8:32: And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Your opinion of God will also determine how you live your life. For instance, if you disobey Him you demonstrate that you believe that He is wrong about something. If you do not serve Him you demonstrate your opinion that He is unworthy of being served. If you do not seek His guidance you demonstrate your opinion that His guidance is not good. If you have a low opinion of Him you will have a high opinion of yourself. Your opinion will be that you are His equal or that you are superior to Him, that you know better than Him. If you have a wrong opinion about God you will also have a wrong opinion of yourself. It is called pride.

When He humbles you, you will have the right opinion of Him and of yourself. You will realize that you are a sinner worthy of the Lake of Fire. You will believe that He is merciful and loving and wants to give you some things that you do not deserve. His love, His power, His forgiveness, a relationship with Him, His guidance, His protection, His provision, His wisdom and a place in Paradise forever, just to name a few.

How you live your life will reflect your opinion of the one who gave it to you. If you have a low opinion of Him you won*t want Him in your life or in your eternity. If you believe He loves you, you will love Him. If you believe that He is powerful, you will want His power applied to your life. If you believe that He is good, you will believe that His will is good and act upon it. You will know that He is the only One that is truly good and you will receive Christ into your heart and you will want His good will in every area of your life. That is called faith.

Mark 10:18: And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

Throughout our lives He wants to teach us more and more about the good He wants to put in us and the good He wants us to do.

Ephesians 2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

We might be able to lie about our opinion of God with our words but our actions will reveal what we truly believe about Him.
